Obama's Cabinet So Far

How is Obama's Cabinet new & Bipartisan?

The majority of his picks are Democrats, and also former Clinton admin. How is this change?
Clinton as Secretary of State is interesting, it's better than Kerry or Kennedy, from my point of view. I'm really glad he made the right move and kept Gates on as Secretary of Defense.

Details on the National Security Team

Anyone else find it ironic that Obama isn't choosing to keep Condi? Extending his hand to her would really show that he is trying to reach across party lines, and while being politically correct, show that he is for everyone of every color, regardless of your party affiliation. She's an amazing woman, and she would be an excellent asset to his administration...But some say she's the same and they want change... lol

23 days until Christmas!

We're going to decorate the house this weekend, and Leanna & I are decorating the office on Friday (We always put up a tree with ornaments) We really get into the Christmas mood as soon as December rolls in. Almost done with all my gifts, just have work, my two sisters & dad to get presents for!

So getting the ornaments all out, the stockings, trees, blaring the holiday music, & praying for snow!

You should look up Bob Rivers twisted Christmas tunes! Our family's favorite!
Note: They are raunchy & not to be played in front of children.

3-1/2 years together & Noah!

So on November 20th, Erik & I celebrated 3-1/2 years together! I can't believe its only been three and a half years. He thinks its cheesy when I celebrate the month-versaries as we call them, I'm just so utterly happy with him. That through thick and thin, we've stuck it out despite the road blocks set in front of us. (some I'd like to curse/hope to never see again.) We've got a good thing going and starting to really map things out in the way of our future together.

I'm unofficially an Aunt!! His sister had Noah on November 29th, and I couldn't be more happier! Let the spoiling begin! He's a still nervous about the whole being an uncle, babies freak him out a little (Which is weird because he wants a few!), but I told him, he's going to be a role model for Noah and he'll be able to take him fishing, boating, hunting, shooting, etc.

A handful of my friends are getting married and having kids/ have kids, well I'm waiting at least 4 years, for things to settle down, and for me to be able to take on that responsibility. If I can't completely support myself, how can I support another human being? So I'm all for spoiling everyone else's kids & babysitting...But I will expect it back in return when I finally have kids!
